Suburban country living at its best! Three chickens in the backyard. We bought them from Matt and Brenton, our organic friends at Island Seed and Feed in lovely Goleta. The first two escaped and have yet to return, they must be having quite an adventure! These gals are the second batch. Their names are Aretha, Ella, and Janis. Janis is the white one. They love to eat clover, turnip greens and pony packs full of vegetable seedlings. I've been training Janis to be a falcon. She's almost over her fear of heights, and learning to fly. Chickens are fun to watch and they make me laugh. Who needs TV with these gals around? Well, that's about all I can say about chickens. Back to the yard...
